The Green Stripey Vase table lamp is an exercise in deceptive simplicity. The tapered black lines interspersed with blue spots are intended to look spontaneous – but are more difficult to paint than they look. The muted green, bright blue and black colourway is designed as an alternative base to the Topiary Lampshade in green and blue.
These unique lamp bases are designed to go with her selection of lampshades. They are made of turned elm and produced especially for them in Sussex. She paint each one by hand which means no two are ever the same – though perfection is her aim. They are all bear her painted signature near to the base.
After painting they receive a protective semi-matt varnish and are fitted with a brass switched bayonet cap lampholder and a classic linen-covered stripey cream & black flex.
